What are PDO Mono Threads?

PDO Mono threads, are fine threads which are placed into the dermal layer of the skin, to promote one's own collagen and elastin production.

They are used as a skin rejuvenating treatment.

What are PDO Mono Threads used for?

PDO Mono threads are used to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This is a rejuvenating skin treatment for multiple skin concerns:

  • Improve and prevent fine lines and anti ageing

  • Improve skin texture

  • Thicken skin

  • Tighten loose and crepey skin

Areas include:

  • Eyebrow

  • Lip Lines

  • Jowls

  • Nasolabial lines

  • Submental (Chin / jawline)

  • Neck and decolletage

How long does treatment take?

Once the consent process is completed, the treatment generally takes 15-30 minutes. 

How long does the treatment last?

PDO Mono threads requires 1-2 treatments / year.

As the treatment relies on stimulating collagen, it takes 12 weeks to see results. 

Results can be maintained with at least 1 treatment yearly.

Is there any downtime?

PDO Mono threads do not require any downtime, however it is important to note that swelling and bruising may be present for up to 2 weeks post treatment.

You should not be able to physically feel the threads to touch, it is normal for a few weeks post treatment to feel a 'twinge' sensation. This is normal post treatment, it is temporary and will resolve.


  • Keep the area clean and makeup free for 24 hours

  • Avoid exercise for the rest of the day

  • No waxing or facial treatments for 2 weeks

  • Do not touch the treated area for 4-6 hours
